Comedians Lee Kyung-sil and Jo Hye-ryun reminisced about the late comedian Jeon Yoo-seong, sharing touching anecdotes.

In a YouTube video released on the 4th by 'Shinnyeo-seong' (New Woman), Jo Hye-ryun revealed Jeon Yoo-seong's unique drinking habits. "He drank soju by the glass, downing six glasses in just 8 minutes, then would suddenly say, 'Okay, I'm leaving,' and get up," she recalled. "Even though we had barely started eating."

Lee Kyung-sil echoed similar sentiments, recalling her asking him why he drank so much. "He told me, 'If I'm drunk, I have to go. Don't you hate seeing someone drunk?'" she said.

They also spoke about Jeon Yoo-seong's deep affection for his juniors. "He would call out of the blue," Lee Kyung-sil shared. "When I felt guilty as a junior, he'd say, 'It's okay. I'm just calling someone I miss.' That was so warm."

Jo Hye-ryun added, "He always gave so much to his juniors. It seems there was one junior he doted on perhaps a bit too much, even for Kim Shin-young, who took care of him until the end. Shin-young told him to stop taking care of that person, and he just said, 'He's a comedian.'" Lee Kyung-sil elaborated, "He believed his juniors could do better and wanted to protect them because no one else looked out for their future in comedy."

Recounting their last meeting, Jo Hye-ryun said, "I told him, 'If you go first, I'll join you soon, and we can keep listening to your comedy and I'll entertain you too.' We talked about the hope of meeting again someday." Her voice quivered as she spoke.

The 'Shinnyeo-seong' episode began with memories of Jeon Yoo-seong, naturally transitioning into a discussion about parting with loved ones and the inevitability of one's own departure.

Lee Kyung-sil recalled comedian Kim Jung-ryul performing the 'Soongguri Dangdang' dance at Jeon Yoo-seong's funeral. "I don't want anyone to cry at my funeral. I hope it's a atmosphere where we can laugh together," she stated. Jo Hye-ryun playfully responded, "Then I'll do the Gollum and Anakana dances at your funeral."

Lee Kyung-sil said she'd like her epitaph to read 'Thank you,' while Jo Hye-ryun humorously declared hers would be, 'I lived well, and if you don't live well, I won't let you off the hook.'

The two comedians also candidly shared their longing for their deceased fathers. Jo Hye-ryun reflected on resenting the talent she inherited from her father, while Lee Kyung-sil became emotional recounting how she bought a bottle of 30-year-old Ballantine's and poured it on her father's grave, wishing he could have enjoyed expensive whiskey in life.

Korean netizens expressed their sadness, commenting, "Listening to your memories brought tears to my eyes," "I can still vividly remember the late Jeon Yoo-seong's cheerful personality," and "I was so touched when Kim Shin-young was mentioned."
