An individual identified as performance staff member A claimed on social media on the 4th, "They halved the complimentary tickets for performers and staff, sold VIP tickets separately, and funneled hundreds of millions of won into my wife's bank account."
The controversy officially surfaced on the 3rd when Sung Si-kyung's agency, SK Jaewon, stated, "We have confirmed that the former manager engaged in acts that betrayed the company's trust during their employment. Following an internal investigation, we recognize the seriousness of the matter and are currently identifying the exact scope of the damage."
The former manager, identified as B, was a familiar face to fans, having appeared multiple times on variety shows and Sung Si-kyung's YouTube channel. All YouTube videos featuring B have since been deleted.
Sung Si-kyung expressed his distress on his personal social media, sharing, "The past few months have been a continuous period of extreme pain and hardship." He added, "In this situation, I am questioning whether I can and should stand on stage."
His agency announced a temporary hiatus from YouTube activities, and Sung Si-kyung is currently contemplating whether to proceed with his year-end concerts.
