TWS to Shine at Japan's '2025 FNS Music Festival' for Second Consecutive Year
K-pop group TWS (투어스) is set to make a significant impact on the Japanese music scene by confirming their participation in the prestigious '2025 FNS Music Festival,' a major year-end music show in Japan.
According to their agency Pledis Entertainment, TWS, comprised of Shin Yu, Do Hoon, Young Jae, Han Jin, Ji Hoon, and Kyeong Min, will be part of the lineup for the Fuji TV broadcast scheduled for December 3rd. The 'FNS Music Festival' is one of Japan's representative year-end programs, alongside the 'Kohaku Uta Gassen.' TWS's confirmed appearance for the second year in a row highlights their growing popularity in the country.
Following their impactful debut performance of 'First Meeting: Dance with You' at last year's festival, which garnered attention for its sharp choreography and refreshing 'K-Refreshing' energy, TWS is expected to captivate the audience with an even more evolved performance this year.
TWS's popularity in Japan continues its upward trajectory. Their Japanese debut single 'Nice to see you again' released in July has surpassed 250,000 cumulative sales, earning them a 'Platinum' certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Furthermore, 'First Meeting: Dance with You' surpassed 50 million streams as of September, achieving 'Gold' certification in the streaming category. This unique achievement among K-pop boy groups who debuted in 2024 solidifies TWS's distinct presence.
Their recent fourth mini-album 'play hard' has also maintained their momentum, charting high on Oricon's latest 'Weekly Album Ranking' and Billboard Japan's 'Top Album Sales' charts.
Notably, TWS has been receiving invitations to perform at major Japanese music festivals, showcasing their vibrant energy and performance skills. They performed at 'ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2025' in September and are slated to appear at the year-end festival 'COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26' on December 27th.
Fans expressed excitement over TWS's return to the 'FNS Music Festival,' commenting, "As expected from TWS! Their refreshing charm works in Japan too," "It's amazing they're performing for the second year in a row," and "I can't wait to see what kind of stage they'll present this time!"
