'Sixth Sense 2' to Air as Scheduled Amid Director's Assault Allegations
tvN's popular variety show 'Sixth Sense: City Tour 2' (hereafter 'Sixth Sense 2') will proceed with its broadcast as planned, despite allegations of sexual assault against its director, PD A.
On the 6th, tvN officially stated to OSEN, "'Sixth Sense 2' will proceed without any changes."
Earlier, it was reported that PD A, who was directing 'Sixth Sense 2', was sued in August by an individual identified as Ms. B, a former program participant. Ms. B accused PD A of sexual assault during a company dinner and claimed she was subsequently removed from the program, alleging sexual harassment and workplace bullying.
PD A has vehemently denied all charges, asserting that any physical contact was merely a casual greeting. His legal team argued that Ms. B's dismissal from the program was due to conflicts during production, not sexual intent. Furthermore, they presented CCTV footage from after the dinner, showing Ms. B initiating physical contact by touching PD A's shoulder, and claimed the accusations were baseless.
Police are currently investigating the case and have secured evidence. PD A has not yet been summoned for a formal interrogation.
Korean netizens expressed shock and concern, with comments like "It's unbelievable that the show is airing normally with such allegations," and "If there's a victim, strict punishment is necessary." Others urged patience, stating, "We need to wait for the truth to be revealed."
