Meghan Markle, who married into British royalty, is reportedly gearing up for her acting return after an eight-year hiatus.
According to a report by The Sun on the 5th (local time), the former actress is preparing for a significant comeback in Hollywood.
Markle is said to be joining the cast of the film ‘Close Personal Friends,’ which also stars Lily Collins, Brie Larson, and Jack Quaid. She is expected to play a role related to her own persona in the movie.
The project follows the lives of a famous couple and an ordinary couple. Markle was recently spotted on the set of the Amazon MGM Studios production in Pasadena, Los Angeles.
A studio insider shared, “This is a huge moment for Meghan, and it means she’s getting back to doing what she truly loves. She received numerous offers, but felt this project was the most fitting.”
The source added, “This is Meghan carefully dipping her toes back into the waters and seeing how much she enjoys the return. Everyone involved is incredibly excited, and they are maintaining strict secrecy about her involvement.” Prince Harry is also reportedly fully supportive of his wife's return to acting.
Markle previously appeared in films like ‘Remember Me’ and ‘Horrible Bosses,’ and gained significant popularity for her role in the TV series ‘Suits.’ She stepped away from the show after her engagement to Prince Harry, stating at the time, “I’m excited to embrace the next chapter.
