Sung Si-kyung to Perform at Sky Festival Despite Manager's Betrayal

Singer Sung Si-kyung has confirmed his appearance at the '2025 Incheon Airport Sky Festival' on August 8th and 9th, proceeding as scheduled despite facing significant personal turmoil.

This decision comes in the wake of revelations that his long-time manager, who had worked with him for nearly 20 years, committed acts that breached the company's trust. The betrayal had cast uncertainty over Sung Si-kyung's year-end solo concert plans.

"Sung Si-kyung will appear at the Sky Festival on the 8th and 9th as scheduled, fulfilling prior commitments," an official from Sung Si-kyung's agency, SK Jaewon, stated on August 6th.

The Sky Festival, held at the Inspire Resort in Incheon, is a renowned music festival that has been a unique airport cultural event since 2004. This year's lineup boasts prominent artists including Highlight, NCT's Mark, Crush, Heize, and Miyeon ((G)I-DLE), with Sung Si-kyung slated to perform on the 9th.

Despite the betrayal and its impact on his concert plans, Sung Si-kyung's commitment to his prior agreement with the festival organizers is being interpreted as a move to honor his professional obligations.

Korean netizens expressed solidarity with the singer, commenting, "It's admirable that he's keeping his promise even in difficult circumstances," and "We support you, Sung Si-kyung!" Many also wished for a swift and just resolution to the situation.
