&TEAM Clinches 2 Wins on Korean Music Shows with 'Back to Life', Hailed as 'Dreamlike Days'
HYBE's global group &TEAM has achieved a remarkable feat by securing two music show wins in South Korea.
On the broadcast of MBC M's 'Show Champion' on December 5th, &TEAM (Ej, Fuma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, Maki) took home the first-place trophy with their debut Korean mini-album's title track, 'Back to Life.' This victory follows their previous win on SBS M's 'The Show,' solidifying their presence in the K-pop scene right after their Korean debut.
Leader Ej expressed his gratitude, stating, "Thanks to our LUNÉs, we received our first award on 'Show Champion' as well. Every day since our Korean debut feels like a dream. Thank you so much." He added, "We will become an &TEAM that can repay all your love and support."
The members showcased their global appeal by delivering thank-you messages in four languages: Korean, Japanese, English, and Chinese.
&TEAM's debut Korean mini-album 'Back to Life,' released on November 28th, has become an instant million-seller, with sales reaching 1,139,988 copies. The album's first-week sales alone amounted to 1,222,022 copies, setting a record for the highest sales for a Korean album released in October, according to Hanteo Chart.
The group's popularity was also evident offline. The pop-up store '&TEAM KR 1st Mini Album 'Back to Life' POP-UP,' held in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, to commemorate their Korean debut, welcomed over 1,000 visitors daily for eight days. It served as a venue for natural interaction among fans from all over the world.
Members personally visited the pop-up store, leaving autographs and messages to connect with their fans. The pop-up space, which visually brought the 'Back to Life' world to life, offered visitors a new way to experience &TEAM's music and deepened the significance of their Korean debut.
The 'Back to Life' pop-up excitement is now heading to Japan. &TEAM is set to meet fans again with an expanded pop-up event based on the album's concept in Shibuya, Tokyo, from November 29th to December 14th.
Netizens are buzzing with excitement over &TEAM's achievements, commenting, "This is amazing! They're finally getting recognized in Korea too," "'Back to Life' is so addictive, this win is deserved," and "Let's go LUNÉs! Here's to more success!"
