K-pop sensation Miyeon of the group (G)I-DLE is capturing the attention of global media outlets with her latest solo comeback.

Her second mini-album, 'MY, Lover,' released on the 3rd, has immediately sparked significant interest from major international media and music charts.

American publication GRAMMY highlighted Miyeon's pre-release track 'Get Outta My Way (Feat. Colde)' as a perfect song for Halloween, noting, "Miyeon embarks on an unexpected journey to the world's largest small town (a nickname for Reno, Nevada)." The review further praised the music video, inspired by the American West's frontier outposts, for its dramatic progression and visual appeal, deeming it as much a 'visual music' experience.

UK-based music magazine CLASH expressed high expectations for 'MY, Lover,' which marks her return after a three-year hiatus. "For Miyeon, the three-year gap was not a pause but a preparation for a new beginning," the magazine stated. CLASH lauded her music and visuals for embracing 'contrast,' describing moments as "soft and dreamy at times, but bold and cinematic at others."

American pop culture magazine Stardust raved, "With 'MY, Lover,' Miyeon presents a new direction through her cinematic spectrum and broad vocal range." They added, "While maintaining the precise expressiveness shown in 'MY,' she explores textures of sound with more delicate breathwork than before."

Italian magazine Panorama applauded Miyeon's unique approach, stating, "In the midst of K-pop's 180 bpm sprints, Miyeon chose the most difficult and simplest path: centering her voice, breathing." The magazine further observed, "Instead of rushing or pushing, Miyeon refines, breaks the standardized formulas of K-pop, and returns to narrative."

The album's success extends to global charts. 'MY, Lover' topped the daily and weekly bestseller charts on QQ Music, a major music platform in China. On China's Kugou Music, the title track 'Say My Name' secured the number one spot, with all other tracks also charting high, demonstrating a strong 'line-up' effect. 'Say My Name' also entered the top tier of the TME (Tencent Music Entertainment) Korean chart.

Furthermore, 'MY, Lover' hit number one on the iTunes Top Albums chart in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Russia, charting in a total of 18 regions. It also made it onto Apple Music charts in 10 regions, signaling a successful return as a solo artist.

Miyeon is set to meet fans on her first music show stage since her comeback on KBS2's 'Music Bank' on the 7th.

Netizens are cheering Miyeon on, with comments like, "As expected, Miyeon's voice is always a pleasure to listen to! The solo album quality is insane," "Miyeon's class, recognized internationally, let it last forever," and "The music video looks amazing, I can't wait to see it."
