Six months have passed since singer Koo Joon-yup's wife, the late Seo Hee-won, passed away, and he continues to faithfully visit her resting place, his heart still heavy with grief. Recent updates on his condition are bringing both concern and a sense of reunion for his fans.

Despite scorching heat and heavy rain, Koo Joon-yup is seen daily at the Rose Garden memorial in Taiwan, a sight that deeply resonates with local fans. This year marked his first birthday without his beloved wife, making it an especially lonely occasion. A tombstone at the site, adorned with photos of the couple, a cup of coffee, sandwiches, and the inscription "I love you forever - Jun Jun," stands as a testament to his enduring love.

Local fans shared their observations, noting, "He was drawing Seo Hee-won's portrait on his iPad since the morning." They added, "Even though I was in tears, he comforted us, saying, 'It's okay.'" His meticulous care for the tombstone, cleaning it and arranging flowers, speaks volumes of a love that has not faded.

Amidst this, recent news about Koo Joon-yup has stirred more concern among fans. On the 18th of last month, he attended a family gathering following his sister-in-law Seo Hee-je's acceptance of the Host Award at the 'Golden Bell Awards.' Dressed casually in a brown t-shirt and hat, he smiled while with his mother-in-law, but his noticeably gaunt appearance was heartbreaking to witness.

A week later, further updates painted an even more poignant picture. According to Taiwanese media, Seo Hee-won's niece Lily revealed, "Uncle still comes to our house every week for dinner. He's so thin that the family keeps putting more meat and vegetables on his plate."

Since Seo Hee-won's passing in February due to influenza complicated by pneumonia, Koo Joon-yup has reportedly lost over 10 kilograms. Seo Hee-je also shared the depth of his grief, stating, "My brother-in-law visits my sister's grave every day to eat, and the house is filled with her portraits. Perhaps one day he might hold an exhibition."

Having first met in 1998 and reunited after two decades, the couple married in 2022, only to face the pain of separation just two years later. Nevertheless, Koo Joon-yup remains steadfast in his "promise of love," quietly cherishing his wife's memory by his family's side. Fans are sending heartfelt messages of support, wishing for his gradual recovery and for his enduring love to bring him lasting peace.

Korean netizens are expressing their sympathy and support, commenting, 'Their tragic love story makes me cry,' 'Mr. Koo Joon-yup, please take care of your health and be strong,' and 'Seo Hee-won must be watching peacefully from heaven.'
