Actress Jun Ji-hyun appeared on Hong Jin-kyung's YouTube channel 'Study King Jjincheojae' and confirmed her status as a 'Cheongdam-dong kid' while sharing stories from her childhood and debut.

In the episode released on the 6th, Jun Ji-hyun revealed the story behind her debut as a model at the age of 17. She said, "I tagged along with a friend who was a model to a photoshoot, and that's how I luckily got scouted to debut as a magazine cover model," she shared.

Adding to the 'Cheongdam-dong kid' revelation, she stated, "I was born and raised in Cheongdam-dong, but back then, it wasn't as developed with tall buildings as it is now. There were quite a lot of fields and farms," she explained. When asked about her popularity in school, she gave a surprising answer: "Because I debuted so young, I didn't really have many opportunities for boys to come looking for me at school."

Jun Ji-hyun also spoke about her transition from modeling to acting. Regarding her role as a high school student who admired senior actor Park Shin-yang in her first acting gig, she recalled, "It felt surprisingly natural, and I thought I wanted to appear more often and in more roles." She also mentioned her early works, including the movie 'White Valentine' and the drama 'Happy Together' with Cha Tae-hyun.

Netizens responded enthusiastically to Jun Ji-hyun's candid talk, with comments like, "As expected, Jun Ji-hyun, the Cheongdam-dong image was real," "Her beauty shone from a young age," and "Her honesty makes her even more charming."
