BAE173's Doha Files Lawsuit Against PocketDol Studio, Citing 'Unreasonable Circumstances'

Doha (real name Na Gyu-min), a member of the group BAE173, has officially filed a lawsuit against his agency PocketDol Studio seeking confirmation of contract invalidity and a provisional disposition to suspend its effect. He shared his difficult decision with fans through his personal social media.

"I am truly sorry to have to deliver this news after you have waited for so long," Doha began his message on his SNS on the 6th. He expressed his deep affection for the group and their first full-length album, stating, "I prepared with more sincerity and effort than anyone else, and I earnestly wished to greet you again on stage."

However, Doha revealed the reason behind the lawsuit: "There were unreasonable circumstances too great for me to bear." He explained, "Against my will, due to the company's unilateral decision, I could no longer continue the planned activities." He added, "After much deliberation, I had to make a decision. It is difficult to say that I do not regret this choice."

In his closing message, Doha conveyed both apologies and support to his fans. "I am only filled with regret for causing confusion and worry to those who have waited," he said. "I hope my situation does not burden my fellow members, and I sincerely wish for this album to achieve great success."

This marks the second lawsuit filed against PocketDol Studio concerning contract disputes, following member Nam Do-hyun's successful legal battle in 2023. The agency had previously announced Doha's temporary hiatus due to health issues in September, while BAE173 proceeded with their comeback last month with 'NEW CHAPTER : DESEAR'.
