
Lee Jung-jae Donates ₩11 Million for Underprivileged Female Adolescents
Acclaimed actor Lee Jung-jae is setting a heartwarming example through his generous donation.
On the 7th, international development cooperation NGO GMP Foundation announced that Lee Jung-jae gifted 11 million KRW to support sanitary product provisions for underprivileged female adolescents in Korea.
The donation comprised 1 million KRW from the prize money Lee received on the tvN variety show 'You Quiz on the Block,' supplemented by 10 million KRW of his personal funds.
These funds will be allocated to improving the hygiene environment for young women facing economic hardship who struggle to afford menstrual products.
GMP Foundation has been consistently running a sanitary pad support program since 2017, aiming to enhance the health and hygiene of young women. Recently, they have expanded their initiatives to include hygiene kit provisions, facility improvements, and sex education programs.
Park Chung-kwan, CEO of GMP Foundation, expressed gratitude, stating, 'Thanks to actor Lee Jung-jae's warm heart, this will be a great source of strength for female adolescents experiencing difficulties.'
