Park Mi-sun to Appear on 'You Quiz on the Block' for First Time Since Breast Cancer Battle

Comedian Park Mi-sun is drawing significant public attention as she makes her first broadcast appearance since her battle with breast cancer.

In a preview for tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' aired on the 5th, Park Mi-sun appeared with short hair, stating, "There's so much fake news, I came out to report I'm alive," while smiling brightly. Her calm greeting after a long hiatus carried a deep resonance of her recent experiences.

Park Mi-sun was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer at the beginning of the year and had halted all broadcasting activities to focus on treatment. In the preview, she became tearful when recalling, "After my cancer diagnosis, I went to the hospital after an outdoor schedule, and when they opened it up..." adding, "I'm telling this for the first time," sparking viewers' curiosity.

Furthermore, a scene where she becomes emotional watching a video message from someone was captured, hinting at a heartwarming episode.

Previously, Park Mi-sun's sudden halt to her broadcasting and YouTube activities since late last year had worried fans. After leaving JTBC's 'Han Chun-sik's Black Box Review,' she shared an update, "Time spent with family is so precious these days. I'm living happily," but health concerns persisted. Her agency later stated, "She is resting due to health reasons, but it's not a serious situation," before the news of her early-stage breast cancer diagnosis broke in August, adding to the concern.

Fortunately, she is reportedly recovering well. Her husband, Lee Bong-won, shared, "She is receiving treatment well and resting. She's using this time to recharge," and actress Sunwoo Yong-nyeo also commented, "I saw her a few days ago; her face looks good, and she has fully recovered."

Through her appearance on 'You Quiz,' Park Mi-sun plans to directly announce her return through her own voice for the first time since her treatment.

Her candid confession will be revealed on the upcoming episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block,' airing on the 12th.
