Singer Kim Jae-joong has stepped forward to clarify the '1 trillion won fortune theory' circulating about him.
On the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'New Release: Delicious Stock' (hereafter 'Delicious Stock'), aired on the 7th, Kim Jae-joong revealed the truth behind the rumors of him being a trillionaire, which had been raised among netizens.
As Kim Jae-joong's agency operations were revealed on the show, fellow cast member Kangnam joked, "Hyung, did you earn that much?" and when it was mentioned that Kim Jae-joong had established two companies in prime locations in Mapo District, he added, "It must be 1 trillion won," referencing his wealth.
In response, Kim Jae-joong stated, "I am the CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) and have been operating the company for over two years." Regarding the '1 trillion won fortune theory,' he explained, "I think a joke I made in conversation with Joo Woo-jae in the past, saying 'He must have earned 100 billion won,' was exaggerated to 1 trillion won on YouTube."
However, Kangnam continued to press Kim Jae-joong, saying, "From what I see, it's close to 1 trillion won," to which Kim Jae-joong gestured with his hands towards the camera, saying, "Because of this again...", emphasizing that it was not true.
