Im Chang-jung & Seo Ha-yan Couple Move in with Mother-in-Law, Leaving Luxury Home with $3,700 Monthly Rent

Singer Im Chang-jung and his wife Seo Ha-yan have revealed they have moved in with Seo Ha-yan's mother, leaving behind their luxurious home with a monthly rent of 4.8 million KRW (approximately $3,700 USD).

A new video titled 'Seo Ha-yan ♥ Im Chang-jung New House First Reveal ♥ Raw Footage Warning (Positive)' was uploaded to Seo Ha-yan's YouTube channel on the 7th. In the video, Seo Ha-yan shared that she is living with her mother.

She stated, "We are living together. Because I need her. A lot," delivering a simple yet clear answer that brought laughter. Seo Ha-yan mentioned that Im Chang-jung was out for work at the time.

"We moved in a little over a year ago. We were originally in Ilsan, near KINTEX, and then we settled here. This is the first time it's being revealed on my channel. My husband filmed a live broadcast eating ramen here, but this is the first time we're properly showing it," she explained.

The first space revealed was the couple's bedroom. Seo Ha-yan noted, "It's similar to my name, right?" as she unveiled the pristine white bedroom. "We moved into a house that was already built as a townhouse, and the only change we made was installing blinds. It allows us to wake up very early in the morning. There are no blackout curtains. I'm not sleeping with the kids, and since I wake up at 6 AM anyway, it naturally gets bright," she said.

The attached dressing room was filled with Im Chang-jung's clothes. Seo Ha-yan shared, "My clothes are piled up like this, and I organize them elsewhere." She added, "The vanity doesn't function well, so I do my makeup in the bathtub and quickly in front of the mirror. I can't organize things for myself anymore and live chasing time, which is why it's like this."

Previously, the couple Im Chang-jung and Seo Ha-yan garnered attention by revealing their daily life with their five sons on SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny.' At the time, it was revealed that Im Chang-jung had sold copyrights, and the company's revenue was in the negative, which drew sympathy. Their 70-pyeong (approx. 231 sq. meters) house in Paju, where the family resides, was known to be a luxury penthouse with a deposit of 100 million KRW and a monthly rent of 4.5 to 4.8 million KRW, surprising many.
