Singer Rothy has announced the end of her exclusive contract with Dorothy Company, a label founded by music legend Shin Seung-hun, after more than a decade together.
In a heartfelt social media post on the 9th, Rothy shared, "My exclusive contract with Dorothy Company, with whom I've been for over 10 years, has ended." She added, "Looking back at the time we've spent together since I was 15, my heart feels full, and it still doesn't feel quite real."
Rothy expressed profound gratitude towards CEO Shin Seung-hun, stating, "Above all, I want to express my deepest thanks to CEO Shin Seung-hun. During my difficult teenage years living alone in Seoul, he always sent warm greetings and was a great source of strength, like a parent."
She continued, "Although I may have caused worry with my immaturity and stubbornness at times, CEO Shin Seung-hun's unwavering belief and support, encouraging me to stand on my own one day, will remain in my heart for a long time." Rothy concluded, "I sincerely thank CEO Shin Seung-hun and everyone at Dorothy Company for their warm guidance and unwavering support. Rothy was notably the first female solo artist discovered and produced by Shin Seung-hun, spending over 10 years under his mentorship and training. Most recently, she participated in the OST for the webtoon 'Introverted Girl' released on the 4th.
