Actor Jo Jung-suk brought viewers to tears on the latest episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy' (My Ugly Duckling) as he shared his heartache over the passing of his beloved dog.

During the broadcast on November 9th, Jo Jung-suk updated viewers on his recent activities, including his official debut as a 'new singer' with the release of his first full-length album. "Dancing and singing on stage has been my dream since I was young," he shared, expressing his excitement for his upcoming nationwide concert tour set to begin on November 22nd.

He also shared a humorous anecdote with his wife, singer Gummy. "Once, my wife and I were at a clothing store in Apgujeong. When I came out wearing a nice jacket, she looked at me with a look of disdain," he recalled, much to the amusement of the hosts. Seo Jang-hoon chimed in, "Most wives don't like their husbands' fashion choices," leading to more laughter.

However, the mood soon turned poignant. When his close friend Bae Jung-nam spoke about the loss of his dog, Jo Jung-suk quietly confessed, "I also sent my dog, Rakku, over the rainbow bridge last year." He added, "I thought I would be more prepared for this kind of loss as an adult, but that wasn't the case at all. I understand that feeling so well," expressing deep empathy for Bae Jung-nam's grief.

Jo Jung-suk also revealed a heartwarming story from the time they were expecting their second child. He said, "My wife asked me, 'Have you ever seen a four-leaf clover in your life?' and coincidentally, that very day, a four-leaf clover caught my eye." He continued, "I was so taken aback that I laminated it right away. The next day, my wife found another four-leaf clover, and a few days later, we found out we were pregnant." Smiling softly, he added, "That's why our second child's nickname is 'Neip' (Four-leaf)."

Jo Jung-suk is continuing to take on new challenges not only as an actor but also as a singer, cherishing his family, music, and cherished memories in his heartfelt journey.

Netizens reacted with empathy, commenting, "I didn't know there was such a sad story behind his smiles," "My eyes welled up when he talked about Rakku," and "I found comfort in the story about 'Neip.'" Many expressed their understanding of his pain and sent warm words of support. The mention of his beloved dog Rakku resonated deeply, with many sharing their own experiences of pet loss.
