Actress Kim Gyu-ri has declared war on malicious commenters, vowing strong legal action following her victory in a state compensation lawsuit related to the 'Cultural Blacklist' incident.

In a social media post on the 10th, Kim stated, "A court ruling means that based on this judgment, posts opposing it can be legally punished." She warned, "I know that besides these individuals, many articles are being flooded with malicious comments. I advise you to delete them yourselves."

She further announced, "Starting a week from now, I plan to gather evidence and initiate large-scale lawsuits. I am already capturing the current evidence. After one week, there will be no mercy."

Previously, Kim had expressed her feelings about the lawsuit victory, where celebrities who suffered damages due to the 'Cultural Blacklist' won compensation from the state. At the time, she said, "The verdict is finally confirmed. I wonder how many years I suffered. I just want to stop being distressed."

The lawsuit was filed by 36 individuals, including actors Moon Sung-keun and comedian Kim Mi-hwa, against former Presidents Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye, alleging interference with their cultural and artistic activities. The first trial ruled that former President Lee and former NIS Director Won Sei-hoon should jointly compensate the plaintiffs, but the claim against the state was dismissed due to statute of limitations. However, the Seoul High Court ruled last month that the state, jointly with former President Lee and former NIS Director Won, must pay 5 million won to each plaintiff.

The court's decision to award state compensation for damages incurred due to the 'Cultural Blacklist' was a significant moment for the affected artists. This ruling acknowledged the state's involvement and responsibility in suppressing artistic expression based on political views. For Kim Gyu-ri and the other plaintiffs, it represented a hard-won vindication after years of struggle and a crucial step towards healing and reclaiming their professional lives.
