M Lee (Shinwha) Anxious Over Wife's Health Concerns During Pregnancy

Singer M Lee (Shinwha) couldn't hide his anxiety over his wife's health issues.

The episode of KBS 2TV's 'Mr. House Husband Season 2' aired on the 8th depicted M Lee's worries about his wife, who is in the final stages of pregnancy. Despite wearing a back brace due to a relapse of his spinal disc condition, he showed his side as a 'real dad' by preparing their 6-year-old daughter for kindergarten.

His wife, who lives in Japan, had experienced vaginal bleeding after continuing to teach Pilates until her 25th week of pregnancy to cover living and medical expenses. Previous examinations had also indicated placental abnormalities.

M Lee visited the obstetrics and gynecology clinic with his wife. They anxiously watched the ultrasound, finally breathing a sigh of relief upon hearing the baby's healthy heartbeat and seeing its appearance.

When his wife remarked, 'The baby's nose is big,' M Lee responded, 'Hearing the heartbeat gives me chills,' expressing his overwhelming emotions. However, at the stage of paying the medical bills, they faced a practical hurdle: his wife, being a non-resident, needed to reside in the country for at least six months to be eligible for health insurance.

M Lee reassured his wife, saying, 'It's okay,' and demonstrated his strong sense of responsibility as a provider by creating and depositing money into a separate allowance account for their daughter.

In an interview with the production team at the end of the broadcast, he stated, 'I am transforming from Shinwha's M Lee into a dad, husband, and head of the household. When the baby is born next month, I feel like I will be reborn too.'
