2025 KGMA to Broadcast Globally via TikTok Live, Reaching K-Pop Fans Worldwide
The '2025 Korea Grand Music Awards with iM Bank' (2025 KGMA) will be broadcast live globally through TikTok, the popular short-form video platform.
The KGMA Organizing Committee announced on the 10th that the 2025 KGMA, scheduled to take place on the 14th and 15th at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, will be streamed live domestically and internationally, excluding Japan and China, via TikTok Live.
This global live broadcast will allow K-Pop fans around the world, who may not have the opportunity to attend in person, to enjoy the spectacular performances of K-Pop artists and meet rising stars without geographical limitations.
TikTok has solidified its position in the live streaming market with its unique features and accessibility, even hosting the 'TikTok Live Entertainment Summit' in April to underscore its ambition to become a leading global entertainment hub.
Now in its second year, the KGMA, first launched by Ilgan Sports to celebrate its 55th anniversary, has quickly become a representative K-Pop festival in Korea by highlighting artists and works loved by fans both domestically and internationally over the past year. The 2025 KGMA aims to further promote the power of K-content, beyond K-Pop, through this extensive TikTok Live broadcast.
The awards ceremony will feature two days, 'Artist Day' and 'Music Day,' hosted by actress Nam Ji-hyun, returning as MC for the second consecutive year, alongside Irene (Red Velvet) and Natty (KISS OF LIFE). A dazzling lineup of 32 teams, including The Boyz, ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and IVE, has been announced, raising anticipation.
Furthermore, rising stars such as Gong Seung-yeon, Moon Chae-won, Ahn Hyo-seop, Byeon Woo-seok, and Joo Hyun-young will be present as award presenters, adding to the star-studded event.
Netizens expressed excitement, commenting, 'Finally, we can watch it on TikTok!', 'Fans overseas will love this,' and 'The lineup is incredible.'
