LUCY Announces KSPO DOME Concert After Selling Out Seoul Shows
South Korean band LUCY has successfully concluded their Seoul solo concert series, <LUCID LINE>, selling out all three dates. Following this achievement, the band surprised fans with an announcement of their upcoming debut at the prestigious KSPO DOME.
The concert, held from December 7-9 at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul, allowed LUCY to share a meaningful musical exchange with their fans. The theme, <LUCID LINE>, symbolized the clear, shining connection between LUCY's music and their fans' hearts, presented through an overwhelming scale of stage production and direction that showcased the band's distinct musical world.
The demand for tickets was exceptionally high, with all three performances selling out instantly, reaffirming LUCY's prominent position in the K-band scene.
LUCY kicked off the concert with 'EIO,' a track from their mini-album 'Sun,' featuring a striking harmony between the driving electric violin and powerful bass. They then ignited the venue's energy with fan-favorite sing-along anthems like 'Ttakttak,' 'Boogie Man,' and 'Ready, Get Set, Go!'. The setlist also included their new songs 'Getting Urgent (Feat. WONSTEIN)' and 'What About Love,' which garnered explosive responses from the audience.
The concert also featured captivating unit performances. Shin Ye-chan showcased his self-composed song 'Eternal Love,' while other members delivered vocal covers of YB's 'Did I Love You' and DAY6's 'HAPPY.' They also presented a unique K-pop medley, reinterpreting tracks like 'Golden' from the OST 'K-pop Demon Hunters' and aespa's 'Whiplash' with their signature heavy bass and dazzling violin arrangements, completing an unpredictable and charismatic stage.
A particularly striking moment was during the performance of 'Fill.' Shin Ye-chan dramatically tore a canvas with his violin bow, a visual inspired by the sound of tinnitus from their signature logo film. This powerful imagery, linking the inner world of artist Vincent van Gogh to the song's narrative of breaking through and refilling one's world amidst anxiety and oppression, left a deep impression on the audience.
Towards the end of the concert, a surprise video announcement revealed that LUCY will hold a solo concert at the KSPO DOME in May next year. This marks the band's first solo concert at such a large venue since their debut, promising an expanded stage and musical scale.
LUCY expressed their gratitude, stating, "Seeing our fans enjoy the stage feels like a strong family. Everyone goes through cold times, and we hope our song 'Stove' can be a source of comfort during those moments. Our fans are the 'Stove' for LUCY." They concluded the approximately 180-minute concert with 'Stove,' met with enthusiastic cheers from the fans.
Having successfully completed their sold-out Seoul concerts, LUCY will continue their activities in Busan on December 29-30 at the KBS Hall, further solidifying their status as a leading band.
Fans are flooding social media with congratulatory messages following the successful concert and the exciting KSPO DOME announcement. Comments like "Finally reaching the dream stage!" and "Looking forward to what's next" express immense excitement and support.
