Singer Jeong Dong-won and Fans Donate Full Prize Money to Children with Leukemia and Cancer

Singer Jeong Dong-won and his fan club 'Woojoojongdongwon' have generously donated the entire 700,000 KRW prize money earned through the 'Seonhan Star' platform to aid children suffering from leukemia, childhood cancer, and rare incurable diseases.

The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation announced on the 10th that the fan club's consistent engagement and support led to this full donation in Jeong Dong-won's name from the October 'Top Star' challenge prize.

'Seonhan Star' is a donation platform designed to support celebrity social contribution activities. Fans earn points by completing video and song missions within the app, which are then converted into prize money and donated in the celebrity's name.

With this latest contribution, Jeong Dong-won has now achieved a cumulative donation total of 52.25 million KRW through 'Seonhan Star'. He has consistently extended his warm support to children requiring treatment, with his fandom actively participating, creating a virtuous cycle of giving.

The prize money will be used for emergency medical expenses for children battling leukemia, childhood cancer, and rare incurable diseases. The Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation's emergency medical expense support program assists families facing financial difficulties due to sudden treatment costs, covering expenses such as hospitalization and medication.

Hong Seung-yoon, director of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, expressed gratitude, stating, "We are thankful for the warm support extended to children in urgent need of treatment."
