Lee Kwang-soo Opens Up About His Ambitions and Current State of Mind at 'Naked Prince' Press Conference
Actor Lee Kwang-soo shared his aspirations as an actor and his candid thoughts during the press and distribution premiere and press conference for the film 'Naked Prince' (Director Kim Seong-hoon).
At the event held on the 10th at CGV Yongsan IPark Mall, Lee Kwang-soo portrayed the role of 'Asia Prince' top star Kang Joon-woo. Regarding his character, he explained, "Rather than my inherent self, I thought that if viewers saw familiar aspects of me in Kang Joon-woo, they might be more lenient with the humor." He added, "I incorporated elements from my variety show appearances and other TV roles to make him feel more relatable."
Discussing the lines he resonated with, Lee Kwang-soo confessed, "Kang Joon-woo, from his position as a top star, feels the anxiety of potentially being replaced, of someone taking his spot and him disappearing." However, he contrasted this with his own experience, stating, "Fortunately, I'm busy with work and haven't felt that kind of pressure. I haven't thought about wanting to run away somewhere due to exhaustion."
He further elaborated, "I really enjoy working and gain energy on set, so I haven't particularly felt exhausted. I do have an ambition for this busyness to continue," drawing attention with his remarks.
Netizens reacted positively to Lee Kwang-soo's honest statements, with comments like, "As expected, Lee Kwang-soo is someone you can trust!" "Looking forward to seeing his charm in 'Naked Prince'," and "It's great to see you working hard, always cheering for you."
