Han Hyo-joo Lends Warm Voice to KBS's 'Transhuman' Documentary Series

Actress Han Hyo-joo is set to narrate KBS's grand 3-part documentary project, 'Transhuman,' adding a human touch to the scientific explorations with her warm voice.

Ahead of the premiere on November 12th, Han Hyo-joo shared her thoughts on undertaking her first science documentary narration. She stated, "I accepted the proposal without much hesitation, thinking it would be a learning experience for me and a great way to introduce this subject and program to many people."

With prior experience as a narrator for visually impaired audiences at the 2013 Barrier-Free Film Festival, Han Hyo-joo expressed her commitment. "Since the topics can be complex, I aim to convey warmth," she explained. "I want it to be perceived not just as a scientific narrative, but as a documentary that tells a story about 'humanity' and embodies humanism."

Han Hyo-joo highlighted her interest in 'Transhuman,' noting that it explores themes of coexistence with scientific technologies that are no longer futuristic but present realities, especially with the advancement of AI. The series will delve into 'Cyborg,' 'Brain Implant,' and 'Gene Revolution,' featuring interviews with world-renowned researchers like Professor Hugh Herr of MIT and documenting the recovery of war-wounded individuals in Ukraine.

Referencing her role in the Disney+ drama 'Blood Free,' Han Hyo-joo remarked, "In the drama, I played a character who created 'cultured organs,' and it was astonishing to see how that technology is becoming a reality now." She added, "I hope for a world where sick people can benefit from the power of cutting-edge technology."

'Transhuman,' enhanced by Han Hyo-joo's sincere narration, will be broadcast on KBS 1TV every Wednesday at 10 PM for three weeks starting November 12th.
