Actress Kim Hee-sun shared her candid thoughts on portraying a character who is a 'gyeongdan-nyeo' (a woman who pauses her career after marriage and childbirth).

At the production presentation for TV Chosun's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'No More Next Life,' held on the afternoon of October 10th at the Stanford Hotel Korea in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Kim Hee-sun spoke about her role. The drama depicts the chaotic and comedic growth journey of three friends in their 40s, exhausted by marriage, childcare, and their careers, as they strive for a better 'fulfilled life.' Kim Hee-sun plays Jo Na-jeong, a former high-earning, promising home shopping host who is now a mother of two.

Recalling her own experience of taking a 6-year hiatus after marriage and childbirth, Kim Hee-sun said, "While I wouldn't say I was completely a 'gyeongdan-nyeo,' I also spent 6 years at home raising my child after getting married." She continued, "Back then, I would watch actresses on TV and imagine, 'Could I have been in that spot if I hadn't married?' I really missed my job during those 6 years."

"I'm happy to be able to work and stand here now. Things I took for granted before feel more precious and valuable after a 6-year break. That's why I'm working harder," she confessed. "I hope many women can relate to and be comforted by this drama."

'No More Next Life' is set to premiere tonight, October 10th, at 10 PM.

Netizens reacted enthusiastically upon hearing the news, with comments like, "Congratulations on your comeback, Kim Hee-sun! So looking forward to it!", "The stay-at-home mom role seems very relatable.", and "I'll definitely watch the live broadcast!".
