HyunA Collapses Mid-Performance in Macau, Past Health Issues Resurface

Singer HyunA has concerned fans after suddenly collapsing on stage during a performance in Macau.

While performing her hit song 'Bubble Pop' at 'Waterbomb 2025 Macau' on the 9th, HyunA complained of dizziness, lost her balance, and fell on stage. Dancers and security personnel quickly rushed to her aid and escorted her off the stage, leaving the audience in shock and worry.

Following the incident, HyunA took to her social media to apologize, stating, "I'm so sorry I couldn't show you a better performance. I don't remember much. I will focus more on managing my health going forward."

This is not the first time HyunA has experienced such an incident. She was previously diagnosed with Vasovagal Syncope and took a break from activities in 2020. Vasovagal Syncope is a condition where blood pressure and heart rate drop suddenly due to factors like fatigue, stress, dehydration, or rapid weight loss, reducing blood flow to the brain and causing temporary loss of consciousness.

At the time, her agency announced, "HyunA is suffering from depression, panic disorder, and Vasovagal Syncope. Despite undergoing treatment, the fainting spells have recurred, so we are temporarily suspending her activities."

HyunA herself had previously shared on a TV program, "At first, my vision went blurry, and then I collapsed. I found out about this condition after tests." She also confessed last year on a broadcast that she collapsed up to 12 times a month to perfect her stage performance, admitting to health deterioration due to extreme weight control. Recently, she revealed a 10kg weight loss in one month, reaching 49kg.
