Singer CHUU Confesses Past Slump: 'Hurt by 'Bad Singer' Comments... Cried Under My Desk'

Singer CHUU has candidly revealed the slump she experienced after her debut in the entertainment industry.

A video titled 'Teacher Chuu, the Top Instructor Summarizing Her Entertainment Career in 30 Minutes' was released on the YouTube channel 'Keep Chuu' on the 10th. In the video, CHUU explained her life story for the new subscribers of 'Keep Chuu'.

Born in Cheongju, CHUU gained fame on social media even before her debut. She nurtured her dream of becoming a singer after entering Hanlim Arts High School. After debuting with the group LOONA, she garnered attention through MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo', making her mark on the industry.

Despite always radiating positive energy with her bright smile and highテンション, CHUU also went through a slump. Addressing the 'forcedテンション' controversy, CHUU stated, 'When you're nervous, it's natural for a rookie to show a bit. If I didn't want to work hard, I couldn't have forced it,' emphasizing that it was genuineテンション, not forced.

Specifically, CHUU shared, 'I was really hurt by the comments saying I can't sing.' She recalled an incident where she appeared alone on a radio show, representing her group, only to find out later that only the main vocalists were present. 'I suffered greatly from malicious comments back then. I cried my eyes out under my desk in the practice room with the lights off. That was the first time I felt truly difficult. I know I'm genuinely good at singing and love it, but why did I mess up every time I stood in front of the camera?' she confessed.

However, CHUU added that she overcame the slump through her appearance on MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' and the support of her fans.
