Broadcaster Choi Hwa-jeong (65) has candidly shared her unexpected journey into exploring marriage, revealing her visit to a matchmaking agency.

In a YouTube video titled 'The Reason Why Korea's Single Icon Choi Hwa-jeong Suddenly Decided to Get Married?' uploaded on the 7th, Choi Hwa-jeong was seen receiving a consultation at a real matchmaking company.

Previously, she had playfully promised, "If the nail dye I put on my nails remains even a little bit until the first snow, I'll go to a matchmaking company and try dating." True to her word, after the first snow fell and the dye was still visible on her nails, she kept her promise.

Arriving at the agency, she shyly confessed, "I came because the nail dye is still here," admitting to feeling "so nervous and tense" from the moment she approached the door.

During the consultation, when asked about her financial situation, she calmly responded, "My finances are quite stable. I started working early and own my home." The manager's follow-up question about whether she could afford a foreign car monthly implied her significant wealth, estimated at tens of millions of won in monthly income and a total asset value of around 11 billion won.

Choi Hwa-jeong also revealed that contrary to public perception of her being extroverted, her MBTI is 'I,' indicating she enjoys her alone time. "Reading books, cooking, and spending time with my nephew Jun are the happiest moments for me," she shared. She further elaborated, "Honestly, I'm not lonely at all when I'm by myself. Sometimes, I lie in bed and laugh because I feel so good."

Regarding her ideal type, she stated, "Someone muscular, wearing ripped jeans, and riding a motorcycle is a bit much for me." She prefers someone who "ages naturally," adding, "Ultimately, they need to have charm for me to be interested." With a laugh, she then remarked, "Honestly, who would want to date a 65-year-old?" bringing a lighthearted atmosphere to the session.

Choi Hwa-jeong debuted as an MBC announcer in the 1980s and has since become a prominent broadcaster, actively working in both radio and variety shows.

Netizens reacted warmly to Choi Hwa-jeong's candidness, commenting, "That's so like her, admirable," "I want to emulate her confidence and happiness when she's alone," and "I envy her composure and energy at that age."
