Bungaeman, the iconic hero of Korea, has temporarily retired and is set to reveal his everyday life in the new season of 'Earth Hero Bungaeman'.

The second season, premiering on EBS on the 11th, will showcase Bungaeman enjoying a vacation on Earth due to an unprecedented era of global peace, leaving him with no heroic duties.

On his birthday, Bungaeman receives unexpected news of his leave and begins a solitary life as an ordinary human in a vintage villa named 'Byeorakmansyeon'. His 'self-birthday party' is expected to resonate with modern-day singles, evoking a bittersweet sense of empathy.

The premiere episode features a special appearance by popular YouTuber 'Ttotto', known for her role as 'Queen Gabi'. Ttotto, a former president of the Bungaeman Children's Fan Club, surprises the production team with her convincing portrayal of a father who prioritizes family above all else, a stark contrast to her childhood idolization.

Bungaeman faces criticism from Ttotto for disrupting her son's school commute due to a battle with an alien monster. Ttotto's emotional performance, where she responds to Bungaeman's 'busy protecting the Earth' with 'I'm busy protecting my family,' is highlighted.

The ending promises a heartwarming moment as Ttotto and her son send a letter to the lonely Bungaeman on his birthday.

Having returned his cape and rejoined civilian life, Bungaeman's cohabitation in the old villa 'Byeorakmansyeon' is set to be a highlight. The villa's set design, stylish enough to be featured in interior design magazines like 'Today's House', adds another layer of charm to the drama.

Comedian Kim Soo-mi, a graduate of MBC's 13th comedy recruitment, will showcase her supporting acting skills as 'Ms. Lee Mihwa', a chatty cleaning lady. Anticipation is high for the chemistry between Bungaeman, who lives in hiding, and his unconventional neighbors.

Earlier, the 'Earth Hero Bungaeman' production team released a teaser video and a new main poster through the official EBS channel. The teaser introduces 'Pinky', Bungaeman's talking pet dog, an 'evil dog' with pink ears, already making a remarkable presence.

'Pinky' is a character brought to life with cutting-edge animatronics, delivering lines in real-time synchronized with a voice actor, adding a delightful touch to the narrative. Furthermore, AI technology will be employed to vividly realize scenes like 'dark portals' and 'teleportation', which are rarely seen in children's dramas due to previous limitations.

The poster depicts Bungaeman walking through the heart of Seoul with his new robot companion 'Pinky', hinting at a more 'human' and relatable side of the hero.

'Earth Hero Bungaeman' Season 2 will air every Tuesday at 8:35 AM starting from the 11th on EBS1. It will also be available for catch-up viewing on TVING, Wavve, and the EBS website.

Korean netizens expressed excitement, commenting, 'Bungaeman is finally retiring!', 'The new concept is refreshing', and 'Pinky is so cute'. Many also noted, 'Looking forward to the relatable storyline' and 'Bungaeman, my childhood hero, still looks great'.
