Kim Seon-ho, Yang Kyung-won, Kim Sung-kyu to Star in Play 'Secret Passage' Premiering in February
The highly anticipated play 'Secret Passage,' featuring actor Kim Seon-ho, is set to premiere next February.
On the 11th, production company Contentsaffold officially unveiled the main poster for 'Secret Passage' via their social media channels, announcing its run from February 13th to May 3rd at the NOL Theater's main stage in Daehangno.
'Secret Passage' tells the story of two individuals who meet in an unfamiliar space, having lost their memories. Through books filled with intertwined memories, they explore themes of life, death, and the cyclical nature of existence. Yang Kyung-won, Kim Seon-ho, and Kim Sung-kyu will portray the character 'Dong-jae,' who seems to have lived familiar times for a long while, while Lee Si-hyung, Oh Kyung-joo, and Kang Seung-ho will play 'Seo-jin,' a man who begins to question everything in the strange environment.
The newly released poster captures attention with the silhouette of a wandering stranger amidst a landscape of gray where only light and shadow subtly exist. Books inscribed with overlapping past and present tenses—2005, 1973, 2023—are scattered around.
A poignant line from a book, "When can we truly die?" pierces through the experiences of 'Dong-jae' and 'Seo-jin,' who have lived through repeated cycles of life and death. This serves as both a profound question about existence and a message to the audience.
Based on the award-winning Japanese play 'Conference of the Flaws' by Tomohiro Maekawa, a leading figure in Japanese theater, 'Secret Passage' is being produced by Contentsaffold and directed by Saerom Min, known for her acclaimed work in the Korean theater scene. It is considered one of the most anticipated theatrical productions for 2026.
The casting lineup of six talented actors—Yang Kyung-won, Kim Seon-ho, Kim Sung-kyu, Lee Si-hyung, Oh Kyung-joo, and Kang Seung-ho—who are known for their versatile performances and ability to portray complex characters with subtlety, humor, and intensity, already raises expectations for the play.
Fans expressed excitement about Kim Seon-ho's return to the stage, commenting, "He's finally back! I can't wait to see him on the theater stage again," "I'll definitely try to get tickets!" and "The cast lineup is insane..."
