Rising actor Kim Dan is set to grace the silver screen with a leading role in the upcoming film 'Night on Earth'.

Directed by Jung Soo-hyun, 'Night on Earth' is set in a society thrown into chaos by the appearance of mutated jellyfish. The story follows Soo (played by Kim Dan), a young man who has been living in hiding in his bathtub, avoiding life altogether. His journey takes a turn when he encounters various individuals at 'Manbok Pension', an illegal treatment center, forcing him to confront his own existence.

Kim Dan takes on the challenging role of Soo, a recluse who has lived a solitary life for years, wandering on the precarious edge between life and death. His portrayal is expected to delve into the complex inner turmoil of youth.

Through his interactions with Hee-jo (played by Park Yu-rim), the owner of 'Manbok Pension', and Kang (played by Shin Ryu-jin), an employee, Soo begins to reflect on himself, showcasing the intricate emotional landscape of a young person.

Following his impressive performance as Moon-woong, a high school rugby player, in the SBS drama 'Try: We Become Miracles', which concluded in August, Kim Dan is now poised to showcase a different facet of his acting abilities in his cinematic debut. The anticipation is high for how he will captivate audiences on the big screen.

'Night on Earth' wrapped up filming in October last year and is currently in post-production, aiming for a 2024 release.

Netizens expressed excitement about Kim Dan's film debut, with comments like 'Congratulations on your movie debut, Kim Dan! Can't wait to see it,' 'I was impressed by your performance in 'Try', and it's great to see your next project so soon,' and 'Trustworthy actor Kim Dan, I'm curious to see what you bring to this role.'
