'Love Revolution Season 4' Director Wittily Recounts Chaotic Production Amidst Real-World Turmoil
The production presentation for the Wavve original drama 'Love Revolution Season 4' was held on the 11th at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Director Yoon Sung-ho wittily touched upon the chaotic production process, raising anticipation among viewers. He humorously remarked, "I was diligently writing the script when the state of emergency was declared, and while filming, impeachment happened. During post-production, the presidential election occurred and the president changed. We're releasing in two days, and I don't know what else might happen," drawing laughter from the audience.
'Love Revolution Season 4' tells the story of Kang Min-hak (played by Kim Yo-han), a computer science major who has never dated, and Joo Yeon-san, a million-follower influencer, whose lives become intertwined due to a nonsensical departmental merger. Actors Kim Yo-han and Hwang Bo-reum-byeol, along with directors Yoon Sung-ho and Han In-mi, attended and shared insights about the drama.
Director Yoon explained, "We deal with issues like the foundation's forceful departmental mergers, declining student populations in regional campuses, immigrants, gender identity, and the challenges faced by disabled individuals within the school, but without being preachy or didactic." He added, "The situations arising from conflicts with the foundation will be very entertaining," promising a unique viewing experience: "You won't have seen an ending like this before."
'Love Revolution Season 4' is set to premiere on Wavve on Thursday, the 13th, at 11 AM, and will be simultaneously released in 96 countries worldwide.
Netizens reacted with comments like, 'Wow, this drama seems to mirror the political scandals!', 'Looking forward to Director Yoon Sung-ho's signature black comedy!', and 'The filming must have been incredibly hectic with all that happening!' showing their anticipation for the show.
