Singer Jung Seung-hwan has captivated fans with the release of his new music video for 'It's Difficult to Be Happy,' which is drawing comparisons to a work of art.

On the 10th, Jung Seung-hwan officially unveiled the music video for 'It's Difficult to Be Happy,' one of the double title tracks from his full album 'What Was Called Love,' via his YouTube channel.

The music video portrays Jung Seung-hwan's journey, often falling into frustration and contemplation as he strives to reach the ideal of happiness. Amidst fragments of intense emotions, such as him shattering a mirror ball, Jung Seung-hwan sings with unwavering conviction. The sophisticated direction, utilizing various lighting effects, fills the empty spaces and showcases the true value of his voice.

Adding to the significance of the video, producer and singer-songwriter Gu-ru-m, who participated in the song's composition, made a special appearance performing with a band.

'It's Difficult to Be Happy' expresses the hollow feelings of a narrator who realizes, only after a breakup, that the ordinary days they spent together were actually happiness. The song blends a retro, city-pop sensibility with Jung Seung-hwan's enchanting vocals, creating a multi-dimensional emotional panorama.

His second full album, 'What Was Called Love,' released approximately seven years after his debut, features a total of 10 tracks, including the double title songs 'Bangsul' and 'It's Difficult to Be Happy.' The album beautifully captures various facets of love and has been receiving considerable attention from listeners. Notably, both double title tracks have entered the charts of major domestic music sites, demonstrating their popularity.

Jung Seung-hwan is scheduled to hold his year-end concert, '2025 Jung Seung-hwan's Goodbye, Winter,' from December 5th to 7th at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul. Expectations are high for a performance filled with his signature 'essence of ballad' delivered through songs perfectly suited for the winter season.

Fans have been flooding social media with praise, commenting, 'The visuals are absolutely stunning,' 'The song and MV atmosphere are a perfect match,' and 'As expected from the ballad emperor.'
