Veteran comedian Lee Yong-sik has successfully completed a 7km marathon, bringing tears and inspiration to many.

A video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'AppoTV' on the 10th, titled "73-Year-Old Grandfather's Challenge! Can He Really Finish?!", documented his remarkable feat.

Ahead of the race, his daughter Lee Su-min expressed concern, noting, "This is the first time Grandpa is participating in a stroller marathon." However, Lee Yong-sik declared with determination, "I can finish with El!"

On race day, Lee Yong-sik, with his granddaughter El in the stroller, alongside his daughter Lee Su-min and son-in-law Won Hyeok, set off. His stamina was significantly improved compared to his participation in a 7km walking race last year. He passed the 2km mark without rest, astonishing onlookers.

Despite the difficulties, Lee Yong-sik persevered. Encouraged by police officers following behind to manage traffic, he ultimately crossed the finish line, completing the 7km in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Lee Yong-sik expressed his joy, stating, "I'm proud to have created a lifelong memory for my granddaughter."

Fueled by his success, Lee Yong-sik revealed he is preparing to participate in a marathon in the U.S. this December, raising anticipation for his future endeavors.
