The beloved 2012 South Korean film 'A Werewolf Boy,' which catapulted actors Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young to stardom, is set to be reborn as a Philippine remake.

Viva Communications, a leading Philippine entertainment group, announced its full commitment to producing the local adaptation after signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Milagro.

Released in 2012, 'A Werewolf Boy' tells the touching story of friendship and love between a young girl who moves to a quiet countryside and a mysterious werewolf boy. The film garnered immense popularity in Korea, with Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-young delivering memorable performances. Park Bo-young's role earned her the Best Supporting Actress award at the 50th Grand Bell Awards.

The Philippine version is slated to star Rabbin Angeles and Angela Muji, a popular young couple cherished by the local audience. The duo is set to make their leading roles debut amidst fervent anticipation from millions of fans. Veteran actors, including Lorna Tolentino, will also join the cast, promising to enhance the film's overall quality.

Directed by Crisanto B. Aquino, known for his works like 'Instant Daddy' and 'My Future You,' the project is a joint production by Viva Films, Studio Viva, and CJ Entertainment.
