Shin Dong-yup Jokingly Laments 'My Little Old Boy' Cast's Marriage Boom, Praises 'Drinking Buddy' Show

Broadcaster Shin Dong-yup has openly shared his candid thoughts on the continuous stream of marriage news among the cast members of the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy' (Mi Woon Woo Ri Sae Ki).

A new episode of his YouTube channel, 'Drinking Buddy Shin Dong-yup' (Jjannanhyeong Shin Dong-yup), released on the 10th, featured comedians Kim Won-hoon, singer Car, the garden, and singer Baek Hyun-jin as guests.

During their conversation, Kim Won-hoon asked Shin Dong-yup which program he would choose if he could only keep one out of 'SNL', 'My Little Old Boy', 'Animal Farm', and 'Drinking Buddy'. Without hesitation, Shin Dong-yup chose 'Drinking Buddy'.

He explained his choice with a laugh, stating, "Here, I can do everything I love. Drink alcohol, meet good people, eat delicious food, and chat." His straightforward answer brought laughter to the set.

When Kim Won-hoon pressed further, including 'Immortal Songs' in the options, Shin Dong-yup humorously replied, "Singers work too hard on 'Immortal Songs'. And 'My Little Old Boy' is tough because the 'naughty boys' keep getting married." He then added, "But the animals are always good. Animals are truly kind and diligent," showcasing his signature wit.

Responding to Kim Won-hoon's question about how long he's been on 'Animal Farm', Shin Dong-yup proudly revealed, "25 years." 'My Little Old Boy', which premiered in 2016, has been a long-running hit for 8 years. However, recent marriage or dating news from cast members like Kim Jong-min, Kim Jun-ho, Lee Sang-min, and Kim Jong-kook has sparked discussions among viewers about the show's original concept and identity.
