IVE's Jang Won-young Buys Luxury Villa in Hannam-dong for 13.7 Billion KRW in Cash
Jang Won-young, a member of the global K-pop sensation IVE, has reportedly purchased a luxury villa in Seoul's affluent Hannam-dong neighborhood for a staggering 13.7 billion KRW (approximately $10 million USD), paying entirely in cash.
According to real estate industry sources on April 12th, Jang Won-young acquired a unit measuring 244 square meters at Lucid House in Hannam-dong this past March. Records show no mortgage registration, indicating a full cash transaction, a testament to her substantial financial standing at a young age.
Lucid House is situated within the prestigious UN Village, a well-known upscale residential area. The villa boasts panoramic views of both the Han River and Namsan Mountain. With only 15 exclusive units, it offers both rarity and a high degree of privacy. Notably, the building was previously home to celebrity couple Kim Tae-hee and Rain before their marriage.
Born in 2004, Jang Won-young is only 21 years old and has achieved worldwide fame as a member of IVE. The group recently kicked off their second world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I AM', with successful concerts at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from March 31st to April 2nd.
Netizens have reacted with a mix of awe and admiration. Comments ranged from "13.7 billion won for a house at 20? She's truly made it!" to "Jang Won-young's class is something else..." and "I need to work harder."
