'Heart Signal 4' Star Kim Ji-young Expresses Discomfort Over Boyfriend's Doxxing
Kim Ji-young, who recently revealed her relationship, has expressed her discomfort regarding the widespread exposure of her boyfriend's personal information.
Appearing on SBS Power FM's 'Bae Sung-jae's Ten' on the 11th, Kim Ji-young shared her feelings about her public relationship. She stated, "It's a relief. I felt a bit guilty about not being able to share a large part of my daily life, but now I feel at peace." However, she clarified that her boyfriend's face would not be shown on her vlog.
Kim Ji-young continued, "I didn't talk about him, but he was excessively 'doxxed' (personal information dug up). His photos are just circulating on portal sites," expressing her bewilderment. When Bae Sung-jae mentioned her boyfriend as the "CEO of a reading community," Kim Ji-young interjected, "I didn't officially say anything, so please don't read those comments." She added, "I didn't particularly want to reveal who he was, but I got doxxed," conveying her distress. Bae Sung-jae jokingly remarked, "It's hard to prevent this level of exposure. You should just appear on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2' now."
Meanwhile, Kim Ji-young recently announced her relationship through a vlog video on her YouTube channel, saying, "I have good news; I've found someone to walk hand-in-hand with." The couple first met at an event, and it's known that Lee Ju-mi from 'Heart Signal 4' played a role in bringing them together. Her boyfriend is widely speculated to be the founder and CEO of Korea's largest paid reading community.
Following Kim Ji-young's relationship reveal, her boyfriend's personal details rapidly spread across online communities and social media. Netizens commented, "Can't they even love freely?", "Isn't this a violation of privacy? I support you!", and "While some exposure is expected after appearing on a show, this seems excessive."
