CineQ Turns 25: Special Retrospective 'Films We Loved' Kicks Off

CineQ, a leading art-house cinema in Korea, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special film festival.

From today for two weeks, the 'CineQ 25th Anniversary Special Exhibition: Films We Loved' will showcase 10 films that have garnered immense popularity over the past quarter-century, alongside 10 of the best films from the last 30 years selected by Cine21 magazine, and the special 25th-anniversary film 'Chronicle of a Cinema'. A total of 21 masterpieces will be screened.

Beyond the screenings, the event promises deep engagement with audiences through CineTalks featuring prominent directors, actors, and art directors who have illuminated the Korean film industry.

A CineTalk will follow the screening of 'Chronicle of a Cinema' on the 21st. On the 23rd, director Jung Jai-eun and actress Kim Sae-byuk will join for a discussion after 'Take Care of My Cat'. On the 24th, art director Ryu Seong-hee will participate in a CineTalk following the screening of 'Decision to Leave', anticipating fervent ticket competition.

Meanwhile, Cine21 magazine, celebrating its 30th anniversary, has published a special issue dedicated to CineQ's 25th anniversary, featuring diverse stories reflecting on and exploring the cinema's history and significance.

This special exhibition, a true celebration for all film enthusiasts, will be held at CineQ in Gwanghwamun until the 25th.
