John Park Exclaims Over Chef Park Se-ri's Seafood Jjamppong: 'Could Even Compete with MogX'?
On the tvN STORY entertainment show 'What Do We Do With It?', singer John Park was left in awe of the seafood jjamppong prepared by former professional golfer and now chef, Park Se-ri.
During the broadcast on the 12th, John Park, upon tasting chef Lee Yeon-bok's 'Bokmandu' (stuffed dumplings), shared, "When I eat this food, I remember the scenery from that time and feel like I've traveled in a time machine." Chef Lee Yeon-bok also reminisced about their past experiences, saying, "Seeing Heo Kyung-hwan and John Park beside me, it brought back memories of 'Can We Eat It Overseas?', and I felt a bit emotional."
Meanwhile, Park Se-ri busied herself preparing a gamasot (large cauldron) seafood jjamppong, aiming to rival chef Lee Yeon-bok's upgraded 'Bokmandu'. With Lee Young-ja, she meticulously crafted handmade sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup), ongsimi (potato dough balls), and knife-cut noodles for the soup. Drawn by the spicy aroma, John Park tasted the broth and exclaimed, "Just how much seafood did you put in?" He continued with high praise, "Honestly, it could compete with MogX. It's incredible," drawing significant attention from viewers.
Korean netizens reacted positively, with comments like "Chef Park Se-ri's cooking skills are amazing," "The jjamppong looks delicious just by looking at it," and "I'm even more excited because John Park said it was good."
