Park Mi-sun Reveals Battle with Breast Cancer on 'You Quiz on the Block': 'Metastasis to Lymph Nodes and Pneumonia'

Comedienne Park Mi-sun has candidly shared her arduous journey battling breast cancer, which was discovered through a comprehensive health check-up.

Appearing on the tvN show 'You Quiz on the Block' on the 12th, Park Mi-sun returned to the spotlight after a 10-month hiatus, looking healthy and radiant.

She revealed that her diagnosis was a fortunate outcome of her check-up. "Although a breast ultrasound in February showed no issues, a comprehensive check-up I decided to undergo in December revealed an abnormality, leading to the breast cancer diagnosis," she explained, recounting the situation.

Immediately after the diagnosis, Park Mi-sun's primary concern was her work schedule. "I had an outdoor shoot scheduled, so my first thought was to have the surgery quickly, return to filming, and then undergo radiation therapy," she stated, highlighting her strong sense of professional responsibility.

However, during the surgery on Christmas Eve, an unexpected and shocking development occurred. "This is the first time I'm revealing this, but after the surgery, they discovered it had spread to my lymph nodes," she confessed for the first time, detailing the devastating metastasis.

Her battle continued after starting chemotherapy, facing another critical moment. "I had completed four out of eight rounds of chemotherapy when I contracted pneumonia," Park Mi-sun shared. "Pneumonia is extremely dangerous for cancer patients, and it was a serious situation that required intensive antibiotic treatment from doctors and a worried family."
