Singer and musical actress Ivy expressed her gratitude towards producer J.Y. Park, crediting him for her debut as a dance singer.

Appearing on the MBC show 'Radio Star' broadcast on the 12th, Ivy referred to J.Y. Park as "like a father" and recalled her debut days from 20 years ago.

She mentioned her hit song 'A Teardrop of My Heart,' reminiscing, "I got goosebumps the moment I heard that song. I had this baseless confidence that it would be number one. I also loved the choreography."

Ivy explained that she was originally a ballad trainee, stating, "At the time, my agency had artists like Lee Soo-young and Liz, who were ballad singers." She added, "J.Y. Park produced my first album and told me, 'Why are you trying to debut as a ballad singer? Try learning choreography.'"

She also revealed that the stage name 'Ivy' was given to her by J.Y. Park. "Back then, dancers were brought in from America, and the music video was filmed in LA, making it a grand debut as a rookie," she shared, recalling the overwhelming experience.

Netizens reacted enthusiastically, commenting, 'J.Y. Park is truly talented,' 'Ivy's 'A Teardrop of My Heart' was legendary,' and 'It's still a masterpiece even when listening to it again.'
