Park Na-rae and Mija's 'Narae-sik' Episode Heats Up with Close Friendship & Emotional Mukbang
Comedian Park Na-rae and her close friend Mija shared a delightful time together on the latest episode of 'Narae-sik'.
In the episode released on the 12th by JTBC Digital Studio, comedian Mija, who boasts 630,000 subscribers, appeared as a guest, showcasing a chemistry full of laughter and warmth with Park Na-rae.
Park Na-rae prepared Mija's favorite dishes, beef tripe stew (so-gopchang-jeongol) and Dongnae pancake (dongnae-pajeon), kicking off the show with a comfortable vibe. While preparing the tripe, she playfully remarked, "Before, I had to save up several appearance fees just to eat beef tripe once," adding, "Let's splurge a bit today," as she generously added the ingredients to the pot, drawing laughter.
Upon her entrance, Mija and Park Na-rae shared a warm embrace. Mija, initially shy, asked, "Is it okay for someone not so famous like me to appear?" Park Na-rae playfully retorted, "You have way more subscribers, and you're teasing us?" filling the studio with laughter. Later, as Mija became emotional during her self-introduction, shedding tears, Park Na-rae also teared up, creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
Mija then revealed a surprising past as an art major, grabbing attention. Park Na-rae proudly shared, "Mija's name means 'woman who graduated from art school.'" Mija recalled, "During my graduation exhibition, a gallery bought all my works and offered to fund my studies in New York. But I turned it down because I was preparing to become an announcer," astonishing everyone.
Furthermore, Mija shared behind-the-scenes stories of her success as a creator. She mentioned that during the early stages of her relationship with comedian Kim Tae-hyun, whom she married in 2022, she didn't tell him about her personal channel. "When I finally told him around 50,000 subscribers, he said it was 'too boring,'" she revealed, causing laughter. She continued, "After that, he learned editing himself and made all my videos. That's when my channel really started to take off," impressing viewers with Kim Tae-hyun's supportive role.
Mija also expressed her sincere gratitude to Park Na-rae, saying, "When I was going through a really tough time, Na-rae took great care of me. Na-rae is the benefactor who brought me out into the world," bursting into tears. Park Na-rae responded, "I didn't realize you were struggling that much back then. Thinking about it now, I feel sorry for only thinking about myself," leaving a touching sentiment.
