ILLIT Unleashes 'NOT MY NAME' Concept, Igniting Anticipation for a Fierce Comeback
Girl group ILLIT has significantly heightened anticipation for their upcoming comeback by revealing the second concept for their new release.
On March 12th, ILLIT (Yoon-a, Min-ju, Moka, Won-hee, I-ro-ha) shared the 'NOT MY NAME' version concept photos for their 1st single album, ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE,’ via their official social media channels.
The 'NOT MY NAME' concept boldly declares, 'No one can define me.' Following their previous 'NOT CUTE' version, where they announced they are 'No longer just cute,' ILLIT once again captivated attention with a distinct visual transformation.
Members sported unique biker looks, utilizing helmets and ATVs to exude a cool and wild charm. Their confident expressions and poses completed a multi-faceted character, showcasing their diverse potential. The photos highlighted ILLIT's expressive power, effortlessly pulling off any concept with their signature trendy sensibility and color.
The concept film, released on the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel, further emphasized the members' striking visuals. Innovative directing, featuring them pointing guns or riding motorcycles, added an engaging and exciting element for viewers.
The 1st single album, ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE,’ tells the honest story of a 'self' who begins to realize that the 'me' the world sees is not the same as the 'me' they see themselves as. It includes a total of two tracks: the title song ‘NOT CUTE ANYMORE’ and the B-side track ‘NOT ME.’
ILLIT is set to release a motion poster for the title track's music video on March 17th, followed by two teaser videos on the 21st and 23rd. The highly anticipated new album and music video will be officially released on March 24th at 6 PM.
Korean netizens are buzzing with excitement over the 'NOT MY NAME' concept, with comments like 'This is such a drastic transformation, I can't wait for the next concept,' 'I only thought ILLIT was cute, but this style suits them so well,' and 'The concept film gave me chills. I want to listen to the song already!'
