'I Am Solo' Season 28 Couple Sang-chul & Jung-sook Reveal Pregnancy Journey for 'Na-sol-i', Call it a 'Hard-Earned Gift'

Sang-chul and Jung-sook, a couple from season 28 of ENA and SBS Plus's dating show 'I Am Solo,' have shared the full behind-the-scenes story of their pregnancy with their unborn child, nicknamed 'Na-sol-i.'

Sang-chul officially confirmed his role as the father, expressing his overwhelming joy and calling it a "once-in-a-lifetime stroke of luck and happiness."

The couple expressed surprise at how quickly viewers seemed to guess their identities as the parents-to-be. "We thought viewers would be very curious and confused, but the answer just came out so quickly," Sang-chul remarked, impressed by the deductive skills of netizens. Jung-sook also shared a humorous anecdote about how she vehemently denied the pregnancy to acquaintances, saying, "I insisted, 'I'm not pregnant,'" despite their suspicions.

Jung-sook is currently about 14 weeks pregnant and has entered a stable period. Prenatal screenings have revealed they are expecting a boy. When asked about their feelings upon learning about the pregnancy, Sang-chul, who is over 40, stated, "I wasn't even thinking about premarital pregnancy... I truly see it as a gift that was difficult to obtain."

Jung-sook admitted to initial fear due to how recently they had met but added, "After discussing it with my mother, she said that the baby being handsome is also a form of destiny, so I now consider it a blessing."

The couple also revealed Sang-chul's reaction when Jung-sook called him with the news. "At first, he couldn't believe it... he kept asking, 'Is that even possible? Does that make sense?' and then after a moment, he just said, 'Okay, let's just have the baby.'" Sang-chul immediately took action upon hearing the news, telling the story, "I immediately requested leave from work and headed straight to Seoul."
