Geum Sae-rok Reveals Boxing Gold Medal Win on 'Jeon Hyun-mu's Plan 3', Explains Muscle Loss for Dress Fit

Actress Geum Sae-rok shared details about her surprising achievement of winning a gold medal in boxing during her appearance on the variety show 'Jeon Hyun-mu's Plan 3'.

In the episode aired on the 14th, the show featured Geum Sae-rok embarking on a food trip in Sangju with hosts Jeon Hyun-mu and Kwak Joon-bin.

When Jeon Hyun-mu inquired about her interests, Geum Sae-rok revealed that she had recently been intensely focused on boxing. She shared that after four months of training, she successfully won a gold medal at the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation Cup National Amateur Boxing Competition.

Responding to Kwak Joon-bin's question about whether she still practices boxing, Geum Sae-rok firmly replied, "No." Jeon Hyun-mu remarked on how she seemed to have detached from the sport, noting that many become addicted after such dedicated training.

Geum Sae-rok explained, "I will continue to do it, but my muscles became too big." Kwak Joon-bin admired her broadened shoulders, expressing envy. Jeon Hyun-mu jokingly added, "Your shoulders look the widest among the three of us."

She further elaborated that while she naturally has broad shoulders, the muscle gain from boxing needed to be reduced for her dress fitting at the Busan International Film Festival. Geum Sae-rok humorously stated that to lose the muscle, she had to refrain from all exercise and simply lie down. This prompted Jeon Hyun-mu and Kwak Joon-bin to quip, "We're experts at losing muscle," eliciting laughter.

Geum Sae-rok previously garnered significant attention for her daring black see-through dress at the 30th Busan International Film Festival last September.
