Yoo In-young's Luxury Watch Bought Secondhand for $2,500 Authenticated as Genuine
Actress Yoo In-young underwent an appraisal process for a luxury watch she purchased for 2.5 million KRW (approximately $2,500 USD) from a secondhand marketplace.
On the 14th, Yoo In-young uploaded a video titled 'My Watch is Fake? So I Went to Get It Appraised' to her YouTube channel, 'Inyoung Inyoung'. In the video, she discussed comments from viewers on a previous watch-related video, many of whom expressed doubts about the watch's authenticity.
"I was shocked and became anxious after reading the comments," Yoo In-young shared. She explained that when she purchased it, the watch, bought from Japan, lacked its original box and warranty card, and she had noticed the gold tone appeared slightly yellowish.
"I heard that Chanel watches are often faked, and about 60% of the people around me also thought it looked fake after watching my video," she added. She eventually visited a luxury appraisal institute, but after being told the results would take several days, she sought out another service.
After paying a 120,000 KRW appraisal fee, the watch was confirmed to be genuine. Yoo In-young expressed her relief and joy, stating, "I bought it for 2.5 million KRW, and the seller had a 99-point rating on the app. I trusted them from the start. This proves you can find good items at a low price if you research carefully. Now I can confidently wear my watch."
Netizens reacted with relief and congratulations, commenting, "Wow, I'm so glad it's genuine!", "Actress Yoo In-young has good taste!", and "Thanks for sharing tips on getting luxury items secondhand."
