Ahead of 'National Patriots and Veterans Day' on November 17th, Professor Seo Kyeong-duk of Sungshin Women's University and musical actor Jung Sung-hwa have released a 4-minute multilingual video shedding light on the life of independence activist Ahn Hee-je.

Produced as part of KB Kookmin Bank's 'Daehan Lives' campaign, the video has been distributed in Korean and English versions, gaining traction among netizens both domestically and internationally.

The video focuses on Ahn Hee-je's efforts, including establishing the trading company 'Baeksan Trading Post' in Busan, then the nation's largest trading port, and disguising financial transactions to deliver funds to the Provisional Government.

It further emphasizes his philosophy of self-reliance as the foundation for independence, highlighting his dedication not only to business but also to education and the press.

Professor Seo Kyeong-duk stated, 'It is an important task for our generation to re-illuminate independence activists who are gradually being forgotten and widely share their stories through video.' He added that the video is being shared and spread through YouTube, various social media platforms, and Korean and international student communities worldwide.

Jung Sung-hwa, who provided the Korean narration, expressed his pleasure: 'I am happy to introduce the life of Mr. Ahn Hee-je through my voice. I hope many domestic and international viewers will watch.'

KB Kookmin Bank and Professor Seo Kyeong-duk have consistently run the 'Hidden Stories of Independence Heroes' video campaign, with this installment marking the 16th independence activist to be featured.
