Jaurim's Kim Yoon-ah Shares Heartfelt Journey of Overcoming Health Crisis Through Music

Jaurim's lead vocalist, Kim Yoon-ah, has opened up about her deep dive into music following a significant health crisis.

Appearing on the KBS 2TV show 'The Seasons – 10CM's Sse-dam Sse-dam' on the 14th, Kim Yoon-ah introduced Jaurim's 12th full-length album and shared her emotional journey.

"There was a point where my health deteriorated, and I stood at a crossroads, questioning if I could continue making music," she confessed.

She continued, "Since you never know what life will bring, I had an epiphany that if this were to be my last, I had to do it all," explaining that she poured all her energy into the album, driven by the mindset of 'giving it my all'.

Kim Yoon-ah had previously revealed that she received monthly IV treatments due to a congenital immune deficiency. Following overwork, she experienced cranial nerve palsy, leading to issues with taste, smell, hearing, and the vagus nerve. Despite lingering effects, she focused on enhancing the completeness of Jaurim's signature sound through her continued activities.

Fellow artist Kwon Jung-yeol expressed his support, saying, "Usually, people tend to slow down and reorganize their lives after health issues, but we are grateful that you chose a path of greater dedication to music."

Jaurim has announced upcoming concert dates in Seoul at the end of the year and in Busan at the beginning of the next, continuing to bring their 12th album to life on stage.

Attention is now focused on how the 12th album, meticulously crafted with 'density' in its sound, lyrics, and arrangements after Kim Yoon-ah's battle with cranial nerve palsy, will resonate with audiences during their performances.
