Kim Ja-ok was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2008 and underwent surgery. Sadly, the cancer spread to her lungs and lymph nodes, and she passed away on November 16, 2014, at the age of 63, due to complications from lung cancer.
She debuted in the TBC drama 'Our Five Siblings' and officially entered the entertainment world after passing the MBC talent audition in 1970. Beyond acting, Kim Ja-ok achieved significant success as a singer with her 1996 hit song 'Princess Is Lonely,' showcasing her versatility.
Kim Ja-ok was married to singer Choi Baek-ho from 1980 to 1983. She remarried Oh Seung-geun, a member of the group Geumgwa Eun, in 1984, and they had one son.
The cherished actress rests in eternal peace at the Bundang Memorial Park in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.
